Preparing posts and replies with social media prompts

This booklet brings together six templates of social media prompts, intended for generative artificial intelligence assistants. It covers adapting a message, hooks, the calendar, public replies, video and alternative text. Each template sets its verification level before use. The booklet is an extract from the library of prompt templates by function.

What the booklet of social media prompts contains

  • The common rules: no-entry instruction, neutral placeholders instead of identifying details and three levels of human verification.
  • “Adapting a post for each network” according to the length and tone conventions of each network, with no added information.
  • “Suggesting hooks” with no superlative, promise or figure not provided, then “Preparing a publication calendar”.
  • “Replying to a comment”: two short and courteous replies, with no commitment or information about a person.
  • “Writing a video description” with three keywords and an invitation to visit a page.
  • Finally, “Preparing alternative text for an image” of fewer than 125 characters, intended for a visually impaired person.

When to use the booklet

The booklet is used when the same message appears on several networks, or when a month of posts is being organised. It is also used to reply to a comment, accompany a video and make an image accessible. Moreover, the calendar specifies the theme, format and objective of each post. It is aimed in particular at communication officers, account managers and editorial teams.

Instructions for use

First, the selected template is copied into the AI assistant. Next, the items in square brackets, such as [networks], [subject] or [audience], receive anonymised information. The comment to be handled is entered without any name. Then length and tone are adjusted to the target network. Finally, the indicated verification level applies before any publication.

Expected outcome

The social media prompts thus deliver texts for review: versions per network, hooks, calendar, replies or descriptions. Public replies and adapted versions, however, require validation before distribution.

Limitations

The booklet prepares texts; it does not replace the validation of public messages by an authorised person. Moreover, the no-entry instruction excludes any personal data, in particular the name of the author of a comment. The presentation of an offer and the content plan are covered in the marketing booklet. References to legal texts must be checked against the wording in force on the date of use.
