Pitch preparation consultation: preparing for the meeting with the investor
The pitch preparation consultation tests the presentation deck against the checks carried out by the investor. These checks cover the market, the revenue model, the team, the funding requirement and the use of funds. The consultation takes the form of a written review of the deck or a 60-minute commented rehearsal. The note is delivered within 5 working days.

Situations suited to a pitch preparation consultation
- A young company is preparing a meeting with an investor as part of a fundraising round.
- A project founder has a polished deck but is unsure of being able to respond to the investor’s checks.
- A candidate for an acceleration programme must present the project before a selection committee.
- A team is about to enter a competition and wishes to anticipate the jury’s questions.
- A project founder wishes to test the deck before engaging the Investor Pitch package.
- A founder wants to check the consistency between the funding requirement and the announced use of funds.
Process
- Submission of materials: the client first provides the deck and the project summary, asynchronously.
- Critical reading: the firm then reads the deck in light of the investor’s checkpoints.
- Review or rehearsal: the firm then produces an annotated written review, asynchronously. Alternatively, it conducts a commented rehearsal by 60-minute synchronous video conference.
- Likely questions: the firm draws up a list of likely questions and the answers to be prepared.
- Recommendations: finally, the consultation concludes with recommendations for restructuring the deck.
Deliverable
The deliverable of the pitch preparation consultation depends on the format chosen. In written format, it comprises the annotated deck and a recommendations note. By video conference, it comprises the record of the commented rehearsal and the list of likely questions. The note is delivered within 5 working days of receipt of the complete information. For the rehearsal, the slot is at least 7 days after booking (priority slot possible within 5 working days of receipt of the information), from Tuesday to Thursday.
Prerequisites
The consultation requires the submission of the presentation deck and an executive summary. The financial forecast completes this information where it exists. The consultation is not intended to prepare it. These documents thus allow a critical reading of the deck in light of the investor’s checks.
Frequently asked questions
How is the choice made between the written review and the commented rehearsal?
The written review produces an annotated deck and a recommendations note. It is therefore based on a critical reading of the deck in light of the investor’s checkpoints. The 60-minute commented rehearsal, on the other hand, focuses on the oral presentation of the project. It gives rise to a record and a list of likely questions. In both cases, the consultation formulates recommendations for restructuring the deck.
Does the pitch preparation consultation guarantee successful fundraising?
No. The consultation carries no guarantee of fundraising or selection. Like any service provided by the firm, it is subject to an obligation of means. It prepares the project founder for the investor’s checks and the likely questions. The decision to invest or to select nevertheless rests with the investor, the committee or the jury.
Does the firm prepare the financial forecast?
No. Preparing the financial forecast does not fall within the consultation. The forecast is added to the prerequisites where it exists. The firm then uses it for the critical reading of the deck, in particular regarding the funding requirement and the use of funds. When a business plan has yet to be built, the Business Plan package takes over.
Does interactive assistance help to prepare the deck?
Yes. Interactive assistance supports the reading of guide P-12 and the completeness check of the deck. In particular, it explains the sections and clarifies what is expected. However, it does not issue any opinion and does not make any recommendation. The firm alone conducts the critical reading and formulates the restructuring recommendations.
Do the deck and the project summary remain confidential?
Yes. The firm treats as confidential the information and documents provided by the client. It uses them solely for the purposes of the service. This obligation also survives the end of the relationship. The client, for its part, is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
What follows the consultation?
When restructuring the deck calls for in-depth work, the Investor Pitch package takes over. The Business Plan package, for its part, addresses the construction of the costed project. The funding and grants consultation and the early-stage consultation also complete this pathway. Finally, the Reference subscription offers regular support to small organisations.
What time frame for the note or the commented rehearsal?
The note is delivered within 5 working days of receipt of the complete information. For the commented rehearsal, the slot is at least 7 days after booking (priority slot possible within 5 working days of receipt of the information), from Tuesday to Thursday. These periods are indicative. They therefore run from receipt of the deck, the executive summary and, where it exists, the financial forecast.
Out of scope
The pitch preparation consultation does not include the graphic design of the deck. It also excludes the preparation of the financial forecast and the valuation of the company. In addition, the firm does not search for investors and does not provide any introductions. Finally, the consultation carries no guarantee of fundraising or selection.

Preparing an investor pitch
Preparing an investor pitch requires making three elements verifiable. An investor indeed assesses the problem addressed, the capacity of the team and the consistency of the amount requested.
