Following up an investment after establishment
Post-establishment investment follow-up keeps to the trajectory set at signature. Indeed, completion of the programme, payment of incentives and justification of jobs extend over several years. Difficulties then arise from a commitment that is not monitored. The checklist therefore covers five substantive areas, preceded by the identification of the investment and followed by a record of action points.

The areas of the post-establishment investment follow-up checklist
- Identification of the investment.
- Ongoing commitments and counterpart obligations.
- Institutional contacts.
- Operational difficulties.
- Expansion and reinvestment projects.
- Local anchoring.
- Finally, a record of action points.
When to carry out post-establishment investment follow-up
The checklist is used first at each follow-up review, at least every six months during implementation. It is also used before a request for the release of an incentive. In addition, it prepares an expansion project.
The general management and finance departments of investors are among its main intended users. The document also concerns those responsible for institutional relations.
Instructions for use
The checklist is first completed at each follow-up review, at least every six months. The person in charge then reconciles ongoing commitments with the supporting documents available. In addition, the list of institutional contacts is kept up to date. Finally, the record of action points assigns an owner and a deadline to each gap identified.
Expected outcome
At the end of each follow-up review, each known gap gives rise to an action. Contacts are up to date. As a result, the investor retains incentives and benefits, and expansion projects are prepared on the basis of a well-maintained institutional relationship.
